Nuffnang Premiere Screening- 《激战》 Unbeatable

已经好久没看电影的我,
终于可以忙里偷闲,
看看电影~

对港产片一直都很喜爱,
虽然这几年也没太忠于港产电影,
但依然非常期待~

Nuffang Premiere Screening- Unbeatable
感谢单位的免费戏票~

《激战》- Unbeatable

Nuffnang Premiere Screening- Turbo

It's been a long time I didn't watch animation.
I think my last animation movie was <Alvin and the Chipmunks> I guess. haha!!

Feeling great to get the invitation from Nuffnang for the premiere screening!
Got a FREE memo book with printed of <Turbo> visuals also...

For me, <Turbo> is cartoon version of <Fast and Furious> haha!!
I am just kidding.
Let's look what's this movie talking about:~~~

Turbo is a snail who dreams of being the greatest racer in the world. His obsession with speed has made him an oddity and outsider in the slow and cautious snail community. Turbo desperately wishes he could escape the slow-paced life he's living, and he gets that chance after a freak accident leaves him with the power of incredible speed. The newly turbo-charged Turbo embarks on an extraordinary journey to achieve the impossible: racing against the best that the Indianapolis 500 has to offer. Joining Turbo is his dedicated pit crew of racing snails- a ragtag group of trash-talking adrenaline junkies tricked out with shells that look like mini-street racing cars. Turbo is the ultimate underdog who achieves the impossible by refusing to let his limitations get in the way of his dreams.

Seriously, the story line was quite simple but it's meaningful for me.
The spirit of snail was impressed by the audiences especially when Turbo was trying his best to finish the race after he lost the power.

What are you waiting for?

Turbo!!~~~~

Nuffnang Premiere Screening- Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunter

Have you heard the tale of Hansel & Gretel?
They were left in the woods as kids and lured by a wicked witch’s candy house.
Using their wits and bravery, the siblings managed to escape her evil clutches and get home safely. However, in this version, the story doesn’t exactly end that way.
Both Hansel & Gretel think that revenge is definitely sweeter than candy.

After getting a taste for blood as children, Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) have become the ultimate vigilantes, hell bent on retribution.
Now, unbeknownst to them, Hansel and Gretel have become the hunted, and must face an evil far greater than witches…their past.

Catching up with Hansel (Renner) and Gretel (Arterton) 15 years after the traumatic incident involving a gingerbread house,
the siblings have evolved into vengeful bounty hunters dedicated to exterminating witches.
Over the years, the siblings became expert hunters, famous for their proficiency at tracking and taking down their prey.
Although still recovering from their ordeal, their work is relatively easy as for an unknown reason harmful spells and curses do not work well against them.

The Mayor of Augsburg recruits them to rid the town and nearby forests of an evil sorceress (Janssen) who is planning to sacrifice many local children at the witches’ gathering during the upcoming ‘Blood Moon’ night in two days time.
To make things worse, the duo also has to deal with the brutal Sheriff Berringer (Stormare) who has taken power in Augsburg and conducts a very indiscriminate witch-hunt of his own.

Last but not least,

Nuffnang Premiere Screening – The Impossible

Thanks Nuffanng for the free movie ticket!! :-)

A giant wave, and then another giant wave of emotion.

Nine years after the Indian Ocean tsunami which claimed 230,000 lives, a new film depicts the trauma and devastation left in its wake.
Based on a true story, The Impossible focuses on a vacationing family which is caught up in the chaos after the mammoth wave hits and got separated in the tumultuous floods. Will they survive? Will they be reunited?
SUMMARY:

A powerful story based on one family’s survival of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, The Impossible stars Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor and is directed by J.A. Bayona (THE ORPHANAGE). Maria (Naomi Watts), Henry (Ewan McGregor) and their three sons begin their winter vacation in Thailand, looking forward to a few days in tropical paradise. But on the morning of December 26th, as the family relaxes around the pool after their Christmas festivities the night before, a terrifying roar rises up from the centre of the earth. As Maria freezes in fear, a huge wall of black water races across the hotel grounds toward her.
Separated in an instant and seriously injured, they struggle to survive and to reunite in a remarkable true story of perseverance, love and unshakable faith in each other and in the thousands of strangers who are also victims of the catastrophe.
It’s excruciating to imagine a family being violently separated during a cataclysmic event, and almost as difficult to fathom how they could find their way back together.
The Impossible embraces both of those emotionally pitched scenarios, and its title also might reflect the momentous task of approximating the calamity for the screen.

Here is the trailer for The Impossible!
